Public Radio, Inc., a non-profit organization, collects
and uses information about visitors to these web pages.
We recognize the value of personal privacy and wish
to protect your information.
Gathering Information
91.7 WVXU collects personally identifying information
such as your name, e-mail address, address, and age
on these pages only if you choose to provide that information
to us. 91.7 WVXU asks you to provide this information
when you submit an essay, ask a comment or question
about the series, or request additional information
about our activities. 91.7 WVXU also may ask you to
provide additional personal information in other limited
circumstances specified at the time the information
is requested.
Using Information
91.7 WVXU limits the use of personally identifying information
to the following activities: responding to your e-mails;
processing your essay submission for public archives,
broadcast by WVXU or publication on the project website;
listing name and location (city, state, and/or country)
information provided by you when broadcasting or publishing
user e-mails or other submissions; editorial purposes
such as contacting users for an online survey; sending
communications, including marketing and promotional
communications, from WVXU to users who have not 'opted
out' of the receipt of such communications; other internal
91.7 WVXU purposes; and other purposes specified at
the time the information is gathered.
Personally identifying information collected
by 91.7 WVXU is not shared with other third parties
unless the user specifically consents to such distribution.
91.7 WVXU also may disclose personal
information if required to do so by law or if we believe
that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the
law or with legal process, (b) protect against misuse
or unauthorized use of the 91.7 WVXU website (www.wvxu.org),
or (c) protect the personal safety or property of 91.7
WVXU website users, the public, or WVXU and its employees.
If you do not want your personally identifying information
to be collected or used for any of these purposes, you
can simply 'opt out' according to the process described

Minors
Visitors under the age of 18 must have the approval
of a parent or legal guardian to submit an essay or
other personal information to 91.7 WVXU. Approval of
a parent or guardian will be verified before any broadcast
or other distribution of the essay.

The 91.7 WVXU web pages contain links to other sites
that may not follow the same privacy policies as NPR.
These sites may use cookies, collect data, and use the
data in ways that we would not. 91.7 WVXU and NPR are
not responsible for the privacy practices or any information
or materials on these other sites.
Acceptance of Privacy Policy Terms
91.7 WVXU reserves the right to change this policy.
Any changes to this policy will be posted to this page
as soon as reasonably possible, so please check this
page periodically. Use of these pages constitutes consent
to any policy then in effect.
